City Nature Festival – Day 2

Celebrate urban nature during our fifth annual City Nature Festival, plus a Party for the Planet Celebration! Join us for a fun, family-friendly adventure along the Jordan River! Enjoy guided nature walks, wildlife encounters, and hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and conservation as well as a BioBlitz and Earth Day Cleanup!

City Nature Challenge BioBlitz – 10am to 12pm

City Nature Challenge is a worldwide event to document wild plants and animals in and around our cities. Bring a phone or tablet and join Team Utah’s Wasatch, learn to use iNaturalist, meet other nature enthusiasts and document the wonderful biodiversity that the Jordan River supports. The Conservation team from Utah’s Hogle Zoo will lead the BioBlitz. Signup below.

Earth Day Cleanup – 10:30am to 12:30pm

Join us for a hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to the Jordan River and help us clean up trash. We’re teaming up with South Salt Lake City and the Jordan River Commission to prevent litter from making its way into this vital urban waterway. Learn more and signup below.
