Even if you can’t join the Golden Spoke Ride event, please use the maps and resources of the event to get out and explore the Golden Spoke trails network across the Wasatch Front region. We invite and encourage residents and visitors in the area to find new ways to recreate, commute, connect with transit, and access nature and activity centers across the region.
We have an interactive trail map on the website to help you track where you are on the route and keep you on the course. To use the interactive map on the website to track your ride you need to do the following:
Open up the Interactive Ride Map on your Phone.
At the bottom of the map, select the ride you are participating in
Click on the “My Location” icon at the top (it looks like an S),
After you click on that you need to click on the Pin icon that pops up at the bottom right side of the screen.
Your phone may ask you for permission to share your location, so make sure to allow that.
Once you do that, you can see your location in relation to the route.
It doesn’t live track, but you can just refresh the page to update your location.
We’ve marked the route with arrows and signs as well, to help guide you along.
Salt Lake City 800 N to 500 N.
Jordan River Trail at 7800 S –
Murdock Canal Trail in Lehi – this detour is marked with yellow route arrows and Golden Spoke 24×18 corrugated signs. The paved trail has been removed for some utility work. You may be able to ride through at your own discretion.
Look for yellow route arrows along the way. They will be at major intersections and sporadically throughout the route to help you stay on route.
What is the Golden Spoke Ride?
The Golden Spoke Ride takes place during National Bike Month in May to celebrate the over 170 miles of safe, interconnected, multi-use trail network across the Wasatch Front, from Ogden in the north all the way to Provo in the south. What Trails Make up the Golden Spoke Trail System?
What is the history of the Golden Spoke Ride?
The first Golden Spoke was held on June 2, 2018, as part of National Trails Day to celebrate the completion of the “Archie and Lois Archuleta Bridge” in Salt Lake City that previous fall. Riders started in Ogden and Provo and converged at the bridge to celebrate this momentous accomplishment. The ride has been happening every year since. While the route has stayed mostly the same over the years, the starting and ending points have changed to highlight different facilities and communities along the route.
Who are the 2026 Golden Spoke Partners?
