Earth Day Litter Cleanup at City Nature Festival
Join us for a hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to the Jordan River! As part of Tracy Aviary’s Party for the Planet and City Nature Festival, we’re teaming up with South Salt Lake City and the Jordan River Commission to prevent litter from making its way into this vital urban waterway.
Every year, trash and debris accumulate in our neighborhoods, streets, and trails, eventually making its way directly into the Jordan River. Once there, it becomes much harder to remove and can harm wildlife, water quality, and the overall health of the ecosystem. By tackling litter before it reaches the river, we can make a big impact together!
We provide tools, water and snacks.
Dress for the weather, come ready to have fun and make a difference.
In addition to our cleanup, there will be activities at Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai from 10-2. We will be combining the earth day cleanup with City Nature Festival activities that day.
