Ren Griffeth

Ren is an Administrative, Grant & Research Specialist for the Commission. Previously an Advanced EMT and Medical Operations Supervisor, she shifted toward academic research after serving as a site coordinator for a formal research study. Ren is currently completing graduate degrees in both biophysics and the philosophy of science, with the aim of helping to guide informed environmental policy decisions and regulations.

In the current role at the Commission, Ren manages essential record-keeping, transparency tasks, and administrative support for finance and procurement. Ren also coordinates federal and state grants, develops research partnerships for the Jordan River watershed, and serves as the Commission’s safety and training officer.

Outside of professional and academic life, Ren is an avid hiker who enjoys camping, playing the alto saxophone, and traveling. A self-described science enthusiast who reads research studies for fun, Ren also enjoys creating art with dried flowers and sharing the wonders of biochemical processes with others. Ren is eager to utilize this role to improve environmental health and recreation throughout the Jordan River Watershed.
