The Jordan River Commission is currently soliciting applications from individuals and community members interested in serving on the Commission’s Governing Board, to be considered at an upcoming Board meeting.
The Governing Board of the Jordan River Commission is comprised of both local and state governmental officials (2/3 of the Board), as well as non-profit and business community partners (1/3). These community partners, or Ex-Officio Board Members, are full voting members of the Governing Board.
All ex-officio members of the Board are asked to contribute financially to the the Jordan River Commission’s annual operating budget. Suggested contributions range from $100-$150 for individuals and small non-profits, to larger amounts for large business partners.
Responsibilities of Ex-Officio Boardmembers include attending monthly Board meetings, which are held on the third Thursday of each month from 9-11 am. Ex-Officio Boardmembers are also asked to provide input, direction, and occasional assistance on Jordan River Commission projects and events.
