We offer a variety of volunteer projects that cater to groups of all sizes as part of our mission to get our community involved in stewardship of the Jordan River. Whether you prefer a self-directed activity, wish to join us for one of our scheduled events, or if you would like to partner with the commission on a larger project, we can work with you to come up with an option that will work for your group. Our programs ensure a meaningful experience that not only enhances our environment but also strengthens team bonds and promotes corporate social responsibility. Below you will find information and requirements for each of our projects to help you determine what your team would be interested in volunteering for. Once you’ve decided what volunteer opportunities you are interested in, fill out that form below with your requested activity, group size and dates, then we will get back to you to schedule your volunteer activity. Opportunities fill up fast, so be sure to reach out in advance!
Trail Cleanup
Trail Cleanups happen year round and are one of the best and easiest ways to volunteer. We have two different options that cater to your group size.
The first option is an Independent Trail Cleanup. This is a great option if you want to do it within your own timeframe. Follow our instructions HERE to organize your own clean up.
We also have monthly cleanups open to the public. If you want to have a supported cleanup then we recommend you join us for one of our monthly cleanups. Find a cleanup and register HERE.
Puncturevine Bounty Program
This program is available in August and September to registered organizations in the State of Utah, including but not limited to, businesses, nonprofits, community and religious organizations, social clubs, and school groups. Work range is limited to 250 yards on either side of the Jordan River.

- Get to the River (September)
The Jordan River Commission has two signature events in the spring and fall. The Golden Spoke is a bike ride. Your volunteers can help staff the support stations and the beginning and end of ride set up. Get to the River is a month long event with dozens of different events and opportunities to support.
