We invite members of the public who have paddling experience to join us for a canoe cleanup of the Jordan River. This is a fun and unique way to explore the river while helping to remove litter and debris from the water. You will get wet and dirty, run into trees and spiderwebs! Come prepared to work hard and have fun! Space is limited and registration is required.

Participants will:
- Have prior paddling experience
- Be at least 14 years of age.
- Be able to navigate a canoe around obstacles on moving water
- Be able to get in and out of the boat and self rescue if capsized
- Be physically fit and healthy enough to participate in the event
- Provide cell phone number and have fully charged phone at event
- Agree to wear a life jacket and follow all safety training given by the Commission.
What to wear/bring:
- closed toed shoes or sturdy water shoes (no flip flops)
- pants and long sleeve shirt are recommended
- sunglasses/eye protection, hat, sun protection
- full water bottle, snack
- fully charged cell phone
- medication you may require
- work gloves (optional)
Transportation Info:
- Meeting location will be sent to you prior to event, watch email for instructions
- We start and end at different locations.
- We will coordinate a shuttle before we start to ensure everyone has transportation at the end of the event.
- There is no way to leave early
- Carpooling with others is recommended.
We will Provide:
- canoes/paddles/PFDs
- work gloves, trash grabbers & nets
- first aid kit and emergency rescue gear, extra sunscreen
- dry bags and waterproof phone carrier.
