Jordan River Bird Walk 3

September 19, 2026
7:00 am – 11:00 am

Hosted by Tracy Aviary

What is a Bird Walk?

Our team visits the Breeding Season Survey study sites year-round to see what is going on with birds in the months that they are not breeding and raising chicks. These surveys are less formal than what you experienced during the spring and summer months. Instead of going to specific points and running a 6-minute observation, we simply stroll and keep tally of what we hear and see.

Consider this a birding training ground!

These outings are open to all birders to keep their birding skills sharp, and continue learning your bird identification! It’s also a fun way to see some bird activity you don’t readily witness in the spring and summer.

No binoculars? No problem! We have pairs to lend you.

What do I need to bring? Please bring water, a hat, and curiosity.

Weather Statement These are outdoor programs and are subject to inclement weather. Your guide will email you ahead of the program to notify of any changes due to weather.

COVID19 GUIDELINES: We request all participants to our programs to be fully vaccinated for the safety of all. If your sick or showing any symptoms of a respiratory virus, or have recently been around someone who is, please don’t attend.

Questions? After you sign up, we will send you an email the day before with directions on where to meet us, and instructions on what to bring. Email: conservation@tracyaviary.org
