The Jordan River Commission Technical Advisory Committee invites members of the Jordan River Commission and Watershed Council to join a bicycle field trip through Lehi. Led by Mike West, Planning Division Manager, and Kim Struthers, Community Development Director, with Lehi City, the tour will explore a portion of the Jordan River Parkway and highlight Lehi’s ongoing efforts to expand trails, improve bicycle connectivity, and protect the Jordan River corridor.

Bicycle Information
This is a bicycle-only tour. Participants who have access to a bicycle are encouraged to bring their own. A limited number of bicycles are available to borrow from the Jordan River Commission for those who are unable to bring one. Bicycle requests are not guaranteed and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
When registering, please indicate whether you will need to borrow a bicycle.
Route & Tour Details
The field trip route is approximately 10 miles and is expected to take about two hours, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Participants with time constraints are welcome to join for a portion of the tour and leave early as needed. The bicycle tour will include a portion of the Jordan River Parkway in Lehi, highlighting Lehi’s Jordan River Parkway Riparian Overlay Zone, as well as ongoing trail and bicycle network expansion and connectivity to the
Jordan River Trail.
The route will include the following locations and points of interest:
- Holbrook Park
- Planned UDOT Bike/Ped Bridges
- 2300 West UDOT Highway Construction Detour
- Old Steel Bridge at 1500 North
- Recent Subdivisions featuring “Eyes on the Trail” and cluster development
- Fishing Pond and Park serving as open space buffers
- Willow Park
- Bike/Ped Bridge to the Jordan River Trail
- Activated Greenway and Greenway Connection
- Cold Spring Ranch Open Space
- Return to Thanksgiving Point Trailhead
Parking
Parking is available at the Thanksgiving Point Trailhead. Overflow parking is available on adjacent streets.
Arriving by FrontRunner
Participants traveling by UTA FrontRunner can use the Lehi FrontRunner Station, located approximately ¾ mile from the Thanksgiving Point Trailhead, or about a 5-minute bicycle ride.

To allow enough time to travel from the station to the trailhead, plan to arrive at Lehi Station on one of the following trains:
- Southbound: Arrives at Lehi Station at 1:43 PM from Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties
- Northbound: Arrives at Lehi Station at 1:14 PM from Provo, Orem, Vineyard, and American Fork

End of Tour
The field trip will conclude at the Thanksgiving Point Trailhead at approximately 4:00 PM. We look forward to exploring the Jordan River Parkway and learning more about Lehi’s efforts to improve trail connections, recreation opportunities, and the Jordan River corridor.
