Unite with fellow volunteers on the 9/11 Day of Service as we work together to beautify the Jordan Willows trails connecting to Pelican Park.
In the days leading up to the event, City Parks staff will trim trees and vegetation along the trail. Volunteers will help collect and remove the cut limbs and weeds, place them in designated bins for disposal, and pick up litter along the trail and throughout the park.
Some branches and weeds may have thorns, so please use caution when handling them. Gloves are strongly recommended, with leather gloves preferred. Volunteers may also assist with some additional light trimming of limbs as needed.
All ages are welcome! Please provide close adult supervision for children under 12.
A Parks staff member and volunteer project captain(s) will be on site to provide tools, instructions, and assistance throughout the project.
Thank you for joining with others in our community to honor the spirit of 9/11 through service and help make our parks and trails cleaner, safer, and more beautiful.
