Join us for a Get to the River Festival celebration on the Jordan River! Participants will meet at the Nature Center at Pia Okwai to learn about landscaping for birds, bees, butterflies, and other wildlife. Get expert advice from TreeUtah and Tracy Aviary’s horticulture team about how to select, plant, and care for landscaping. Attendees will assist in a planting project with a new garden area at the Nature Center, featuring a diversity of plants, and learn about the impacts of native and beneficial plants on the Jordan River watershed.
This is a free event open to all hosted by South Salt Lake, Tracy Aviary Nature Center at Pia Okwai, TreeUtah, and Jordan River Commission.
The first 25 people to register will receive a mini-landscape starter kit to take home with their choice of seeds, perennials, shrubs and trees.
