Frances Schneider serves as the Education Intern for the Jordan River Commission, bringing a passion for urban ecology, environmental stewardship, and community engagement to her work. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Urban Ecology and Environmental and Sustainability Studies, where she developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between communities and the natural environments they call home.
Frances was drawn to the Jordan River Commission because of its commitment to restoring the river while inspiring communities to care for and connect with their local environment through education and stewardship. In her role, she supports environmental education efforts that help build awareness, encourage stewardship, and strengthen connections between community members and the Jordan River.
Outside of work, Frances enjoys exploring the outdoors through mountain biking at Solitude and Park City Mountain Resort, camping, and spending time with her cat.
