I have a background in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a Master’s in City and Metropolitan Planning from the University of Utah and bring a deep commitment to creating accessible, sustainable, and equitable green spaces in urban areas. I am passionate about active transportation and developing projects that align with community values and environmental needs, helping to create recreational spaces that serve and uplift diverse populations. My experience spans organizations like Seven Canyons Trust, Tree Utah, Salt Lake City Watershed, Volunteers of America Utah, and Salt Lake City Public Lands.
In my role with the commission, I manage our volunteer programs and coordinate events such as the Golden Spoke Ride and the Get to the River Festival. A big part of my work involves leading volunteers on canoe cleanups to remove trash from the river, as well as facilitating litter cleanups and vegetation projects to improve the Jordan River Corridor. I’m especially looking forward to planning the 2025 Golden Spoke Ride, an event that perfectly aligns with my passion for active transportation and expanding community access to nature and recreation.
Outside of work, you can usually find me climbing, mountain biking, or making clothes and costumes. I’m always looking for ways to connect with both nature and creativity. I’m excited to continue connecting with the community on projects that make a lasting impact along the Jordan River corridor.
